This is the ensuite bath of a very busy doctor who works very long hours. Her only requests from us were to design a space focused on relaxing after a long day and that she have a soaking tub. We introduced her to air massage therapy and a love affair was born. Heated floors are another luxury addition.
She says result is like staying at a luxury hotel and she can’t wait to get home.
BEFORE:
A lot of this bathroom was just disconnected. The transom window over the vanity, the small side sconces with an odd placement and the individual mirrors all break the space up too much and make it seem much smaller than it is.
AFTER
To help make the transom makes sense, we had custom panels made for the sconce lighting and trimmed in a full mirror to allow for one cohesive look. The tile from the tub wall continues above, again making everything have a built-in look.
The placement of the fixtures isn’t bad here, but again, the two different flooring choices break up the space and make it seem much smaller.
